  • Monthly Meeting dates for your diary:

Monthly meetings take place on the third Tuesday of the month UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTIFIED. To allow the orderly setting up of the meeting room the doors will not open until 2.00pm. Refreshments will then be served and the meeting proper will start at 2.15pm approximately.

From January 2010, monthly meetings will be held in the CAMBERLEY THEATRE - the scene of our successful 10th Anniversary celebrations. This is a purpose-designed venue at the centre of our community, which an organisation of our size warrants. The change of venue will be reviewed after a 6-month trial so please help us make this a success! Come along and enjoy the experience. Meet other members and your committee socially over a cup of tea or coffee and listen to a selection of speakers covering a wide range of subjects.
There will also be the opportunity for a limited number of groups to set up a desk or stand to promote events or show their exhibits.
Note: The seating will be arranged around tables on the level providing easy access and a more sociable setting. The theatre is equipped with a 'T' loop facility for the hearing impaired.

9 February 2010 (NOTE 2nd Tuesday)     ‘Gypsies and travellers - past, present and future’ speaker local author Miriam Wakerly who has written a book on this subject. Miriam’s experience of writing this will also be of interest to aspiring authors!
16 March 2010     ‘An introduction to Icons’ speaker Nicholas Lowenstein - a long standing U3A member and one of our Group Leaders - who will share his enthusiasm for Icons, their origin, the part they play in the Christian Orthodox tradition and European art.
